When your client is criticizing you, listen to his/her motives behind the words. What are your client’s expectations and what goes wrong at design time. If you are facing any problem then better to clarify but without argument. Learn to listen more and speak less. Patience is the only key aspect here to make you a good learner and listener both at one time.
#3. Distinguish the criticism
Differentiate the criticism, whether it is constructive or pessimistic. Constructive ones are going to improve your work and if pessimistic criticism is taking place then don’t allow the client insult you. Consider the criticism only after knowing its resource. Sometime only those words hurt which are coming from your door and nears mouth and in case of stranger’s word, you won’t even bother to think about. So see who is criticizing you, if he/she is a well-wisher then it’s time to change your design instead of hurting yourself.

Every criticism is not used for bad science or just for insulting you. Try to determine the intention of the person behind the criticism. If through criticism a person wants to make your design work better than always welcome him/her and be thankful for that approach.

Don’t react or sit for changing the designing aspect after receiving all criticisms. You still have a room to reserve your decision before employing it into action.
