Here are the steps of how to install wordpress manually on your own:
Step 1: Download WordPress
Start with the download of the latest version of wordpress from the wordpress download section, by clicking on “download.zip” or “download.tar.gz”.
Step 2: Upload & Extract
In cPanel -> File Manager, navigate to the uploaded file & extract it. In another way, you can extract the file on your system and then upload it in the desired folder via ftp.
Step 3: Create a MySQL database
To create a MySQL in cPanel, navigate to cPanel ->MySQL and then click add a New Database.
Step 4. Install
Type the url of the directory where you have installed your wordpress . With the latest version of wordpress, you don’t need to edit the config file anymore.
For eg. www.yourdomain.com/blog/
Which will show you a screen as below:
Enter the name of your database (created in step 2) in user_databse format, your username and password. No need to change the database host and wp_prefix field.
Click on Submit & you will land on a follow up page as shown below:
Fill up the fields and click on install.
You are done! Yes! It will show you a confirmation screen like this below:
Your installation is completed successfully and now you can log in to your WordPress log in Panel by http://www.yourdomain.com/wp-admin/
